The Nike Football Training Centre, established in 2010, underwent a substantial refurbishment and reopened in 2021 as 'Shapa Soweto'. This facility has evolved into an innovative multi-sport hub, featuring a professionally designed skate park, basketball courts, five-a-side soccer fields, an athletics oval, and a cross-country running track. It also includes two full-sized football pitches and dedicated areas for dance, judo, and more, alongside a 300-meter running track. The renovation was a collaborative effort by C76 Architects, Nike SA, and Futura Design Agency, utilising sustainable and easy-to-maintain materials for longevity.
